File attachment / URL link

Is there a reason that the limit on the file attachment is set to 64k? I tried to attach a file that was 101k and was given the message that it was too large.

Since the file was too big, I was forced to use the URL link which worked fine until I had to edit the post. After posting my edits I noticed that it did not save my link. I had to edit and add the link back in. Is this a system setting, bug with CS?
