Are the differences in the Second Edition just the edits to the errata from the first, or do they contain new concepts and a newer CSLA version?

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, but that doesn't help.  There are two editions of the Expert C# Business Objects.  Are they the same book with just the errors fixed, or are there new concepts?

First Edition (Expert C# Business Objects) - ISBN: 1590593448

Second Edition (Expert C# 2005 Business Objects) - ISBN: 1590596323

Well there are some new concepts with each Csla release, and certainly Csla 2 takes advantage of new features of .Net 2.0.

If the link doesn't help, then base your decision on which book to get based on which .Net Framework version / Csla version you want to use, and go from there.

Based on the titles, the first book does not have a date so it is the original CSLA 1.x book.

The 2nd book is dated 2005 so it is the CSLA 2.x book.

Given that, the 2005 book has many new concepts in it.

Later editions of the 2005 book may have errata fixed.

It is a bit confusing. Apress called the 2005 book the "2nd edition" though it was a large rewrite.

They may have applied some errata to reprints of the 2005 book, I'm not sure. Apress tries to keep errata, but more of it flows directly to me than to them, so the errata list on my web site is far more complete than anything they have.

I imagine the 2008 book will be the "3rd edition", but it will be a large rewrite too. I'm sure that'll continue the confusion :)
