I did successfully port this to C#, but I cannot post it as it is now company code.  Maybe I will find time to port it again at home.  I can tell you that it should take you no more than a few hours to port it yourself.  My test case had a form with OK and Cancel buttons in a layout.  This worked really nicely for the inheriting controls.
