InfoPath forms and csla

The group I work for is abandoning a truly horrible e-forms system by FileNet, and starting a move to Infopath forms. Data is read out of our database into the forms, but the form data is then saved as xml files, and not back into the database. I saw in the Infopath docs that data can be saved back into an Oracle db by using webservices.
Has anybody done this? We have some multipage forms that would have to save to multiple child tables with complex validation. What better than a csla bizobj? Though our MIS group thinks csla is too complicated, too open source (who's going to give support, etc) it would be nice to put together a demo.
