My ISP moved their data center across the city this week. That resulted in quite a few hours of downtime.
They warned ahead of time that there'd be about 20 mins of downtime, at which point I laughed to myself. I've designed and moved a datacenter in the past, and that sort of move takes waaay longer than 20 mins. (the design took weeks, and the construction weeks, the move (in our case) took about 10 hours)
