We're really narrowing in on a release at this point. There've been a few bug fixes since Beta 2a, and there may be a couple more before release, but I think it is very close to final now.
One big change in this release is that ProjectTracker is now in the Samples download.
As always, I really appreciate it if you can take the time to download and use this update. Post any bugs/issues to the forum.
Thank you!
Looking at it now.
I've yet to be able to compile the deploy solution. Looks like it might be looking for ProjectTracker which is no longer in the solution.
Given constraints on Nermin’s schedule (he’s doing
the VS templates and such on his own time) it is unlikely that the VS templates
and MSI will be complete for 3.6.0.
While that’s unfortunate, these elements aren’t
critical to the release. The primary concern I have right now is making sure
the 3.6.0 release is out in sync with the Expert C# 2008 Business Objects book.
These elements aren’t covered in the book, and so they are purely
optional from that perspective.
From a release gate perspective, only cslacs is truly critical.
ProjectTracker already matches the book and is frozen, and I’ll only
change cslacs for show-stopping bugs at this point.
Which doesn’t mean other issues shouldn’t be reported
– just that they’ll be addressed in 3.6.x, not 3.6.0.

I cannot find the ProjectTracker in Silverlight Samples. Are you going to have this as well?
I might create an SL version of ProjectTracker, but I’m
not sure. I couldn’t couple ProjectTracker to SL in 3.6.0, because the
2008 book doesn’t directly cover SL and it does directly rely on
ProjectTracker.
It is quite possible that a 3.6.x will have
ProjectTracker\PTSilverlight – along with modified ProjectTracker.Library
projects (for .NET and SL). Obviously that’ll make the business layer
depart slightly from the book though, and so I do need a version that directly
matches the book right now.
