Just trying out CSLA 3.6, i found that the application still worked if i renamed some of the stored procedures in the ProjectTracker application. I renamed Login, VerifyCredentials sps on Security db but the application still works.

Do we really need the SP's here ?

If you look at the data access code, you'll see that sprocs are used for some objects and not for others. And in any case they are used for data insert/update/delete, but not retrieval. You should read Chapter 18 for the details around this - but some of it is simply to illustrate various techniques you can use.
