Can asp.net CSLA business objects ever execute in the browser / on the desktop ???

I doubt it, since the "business object" library and CSLA would have to be installed on that machine, right ??

No, the objects would always execute on the webserver; unless you configure the data portal to run on another machine.. but that would just run the data access components on another server within your company, not on the client workstation.

You could use ClickOnce deployment to send out a rich client though. You may want to look into that if your situtation permits it.
