Steve Michelotti created a framework that allows you to dress business object properties with attributes that detail the validation criteria. These attributes also can "automatically" create validation controls on the UI for you. How this plays with CSLA and perhaps the detailsview control is uncertain--I still need to research it further--but it might be a model worth looking at. Obviously, the things I like about it is the validation control autogeneration on the UI but unfortunately, it appears to overlap some of Rocky's validation structure too.
